with Essential Strength

At Essential Strength we are committed to getting the mind and body working in cooperation to increase strength, relieve stress, prevent injury, reduce pain and improve movement.

We have developed a technique called the “Mind and Muscle Cooperation Method” (or “MMCo” for short) which uses a gentle muscle activation training, suitable for all ages. We work closely with each client to discover muscles that are not activating correctly and then work to retrain a muscle's connection to the brain and to remove blocks caused by stress or injury.

We can help you with:

  • muscle pain caused by past injury

  • improvements to mobility and functionality

  • back pain reduction

  • improving strength, accuracy and speed for optimal performance.

  • improving coordination and posture - rapid and long lasting results!

Our founder and practitioner Bridget Cook has developed the Cooperation Method over a number of years combining her background as a kinesiologist and personal trainer.

View our testimonial videos and photos that really demonstrate what can be achieved using the Mind and Muscle Cooperation Method.

We also incorporate our additional services particularly the gentle, effective back pain relieving "New Body Therapy" into our sessions as identified during your functional assessment.

"I have tried many types of therapy and courses over the years but I can honestly say that I have never met a practitioner as skilled and effective as Bridget.

Over the years that I have been seeing her I have seen a vast improvement in my confidence, strength, emotional health and overall happiness. Bridget can work on any issue from a sore knee to dealing with trauma held at a deep level."
